Oscar Piastri in F1 World Championship lead after taking his third win at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

JEDDAH, SAUDI ARABIA – Oscar Piastri wins the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix ahead of Max Verstappen in P2 and Charles Leclerc in P3, taking home his third win this season.

F1 Academy

Round 2 of F1 Academy saw a maiden victory for Rodin’s Ella Lloyd in Race 1. While teammate Emma Felbermayr started on the reverse pole, Lloyd was able to overtake her at the very start of race. Another strong start was had from Campos Racing’s Alisha Palmowski who was able to break into the top three after starting from P5 and maintained the position despite a few battles to finish in P3. Ferrari’s Maya Weug took P2, after having started on P6, challenging the likes of Alba Larsen and Tina Hausman on the way.

Race 2 was Maya Weug’s through and through as she charged past Doriane Pin on P2 at the beginning of the race chasing Chloe Chambers in pole. Weug’s aggressive moves had her swapping positions within the top three, while Chambers was awarded a fivesecond penalty for forcing Weug off-track. Weug’s P1 came as inherited from Chambers, who dropped into P2 ahead of Mercedes driver Dorian Pin in P3.

Round 3 of F1 Academy will take place at the Miami International Autodrome from May 2nd-4th.

Formula 2

History was made in in the Formula 2 Sprint Race in Jeddah as Arvid Lindblad became the youngest winner in Formula 2 history. Originally in P2, Lindblad was promoted to P1 after Richard Verschoor was given a five-second penalty for forcing another driver offtrack and ended the race in P4. P2 was claimed by Campos Racing’s Josep Martí and Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Dunne took home P3.

Verschoor found his redemption in the Feature Race the following day, taking of the victory from DAMS Locas Oil’s Jak Crawford on the final lap of the race. ART Grand Prix’s Victor Martins rounded out the podium, ahead of Martí in P4, Browning in P5 and Lindblad in P6.

The next round of the Formula 2 Championship takes place in Imola in May 16th-18th.

Formula 1

Oscar Piastri secured his third win of the season in Jeddah during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen who was given a five second penalty for track limits. Charles Leclerc secured the first Ferrari podium of the season in P3, overtaking George Russell who was later also overtaken by Lando Norris who claimed P4, with Russell finishing in P5.

Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli finished in P6, ahead of Lewis Hamilton in P7, Carlos Sainz in P8, Alex Albon in P9 and Isack Hadjar in P10.

The Formula 1 World Championship continues in Miami on May 2nd-4th.
